Canada is planning to reduce suicides with a new project at a time when there is a lot of discussion about how artificial intelligence can be used for the benefit of mankind.
Suicide sees the framework as the largest known tenth death in America and Canada. Unfortunately, they are ranked second among young people between the ages of 10 and 19. It is said that more than 800,000 people in the world have lost their lives by suicide each year. However, 60 countries have conducted a quantitative research on this issue and only 28 have published a report on national suicide prevention.
Recently, the Canadian government, involved in suicide cases, is working with a company in Ottawa that specializes in social media and artificial intelligence. The main purpose of the project is to examine suicidal behavior in the social media and to determine that the Canadian public is involved in this behavior. After a three-month trial period, the Canadian government will decide whether these studies are helpful in understanding the preliminary findings or causes for future suicide attempts.
The Canadian government's Advanced Symbolics company finds artificial intelligence and social media recognition systems more useful than other companies to detect suicide incidents. Company CEO Erin Kelly, who has several predictive artificial intelligences on social media, claims that Canada does not know the election results and Hillary & Trump claims to be talking about research companies.
Of course, there is also a debate about whether suicidal tendencies are clearly defined by publications that people only want to share with everyone. In fact, it is a known fact that people who think they have committed suicide in a way that seriously end their lives will not commit suicide with anyone except themselves.
Nevertheless, it seems true that Canada has been working with reputable research companies over this issue. What do you think? Can such a study prevent suicide cases?
